Mucuripe Port
With more than half a century of activity, the Porto do Fortaleza, also known as Mucuripe Port, is one of the most important and strategic maritime terminals in the country. Its privileged location keeps it in proximity to North American and European markets, enabling service to ports in the United States, Canada, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Latin American countries, as well as itineraries to other Brazilian ports through cabotage navigation.
Its area of influence covers the states of Ceará, Piauí, Maranhão, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco and Paraíba, extending also to the North, Midwest and the São Francisco Valley.
Mucuripe port is home to one of the largest wheat centers in the country and has a versatile infrastructure that allows the movement of different types of goods, divided into solid bulk (grain, cereals, etc.), liquid bulk (petroleum derivatives), general loose cargo and containers. About 1500 people work here. Cashews, carnauba wax, metal, fabrics, fruits, wheat, malt, lubricants, fuels and petroleum products are among the main products handled by Porto.

Pecem Port
The Pecém Industrial and Port Complex Development Company - (CIPP) previously known as the Ceará Port Integration Company - Cearáportos, is a mixed capital company created by means of a decree of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Ceará and sanctioned by Law No. 12.536 / 95, of December 22, 1995, of the Government of the State of Ceará. Linked to the Secretariat of Economic Development, it is incorporated as a corporation, a publicly-held company, and its purpose is to comply with the Company's Bylaws:
"The Company's objective is the construction, refurbishment, expansion, improvement, leasing and operation of port facilities and those destined to support and support intermodal transport, located in the State of Ceará, as well as the provision of related services, in compliance with relevant legislation. , the economic criteria for making investments viable and the state's economic and social development strategy. "
It is a maritime terminal designed to provide efficient port operations, making it highly competitive with free road and rail access independent of the confinement caused by urban centers. As for maritime infrastructure, the terminal was designed to allow access to the vast majority of operating commercial vessels, with berth facilities having depths compatible with state-of-the-art vessels, both for bulk carriers and general cargo ships, including container ships.
Pecém Port Terminal is a link in the maritime transport logistics chain and its objective is to enable the operation of integrated port and industrial activities, indispensable for the development of a Pecém Industrial Complex, thus assuming the characteristics of an Industrial Port. It consists of 03 (three) maritime Piers, the first (Pier 1) for solid, liquid bulk and non-containerized general cargo, the second (Pier 2) for liquid bulk and the third (TMUT) for solid bulk, general cargo. Containerized and non-containerized.
Because it is an offshore terminal, the mooring Piers are protected from the action of waves and currents by a 2,770 m long "L" berm. The Piers are connected to the mainland by a road bridge that connects the Storage Yard to the ship mooring facilities.
